FRESH STRAWBERRY DESSERT
 

1/2 c. crushed ice cream wafers
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 pt. fresh strawberries
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. cream

Spread crushed ice cream wafers in a 9x9 inch pan. Cream 1 cup powdered sugar with the butter. Add 2 beaten egg yolks. Fold in egg whites, beaten stiff, and spread this mixture over crumbs. Mix berries, hulled and sliced, with 1/4 cup powdered sugar. Whip cream. Alternate layers of berries and whipped cream over the butter layer. May top with a few additional crumbs. Let stand overnight. Double recipe for a 9x13 inch pan.
