BAKED PEARS WITH APRICOT SYRUP
 

6 fresh pears
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. water
1/3 c. Smuckers Simply Fruit (apricot)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Peel pears, cut in half lengthwise. Scoop out seeds. Place pears, cut side down, in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. In a small bowl, combine apricot preserves with water and vanilla. Pour over pears, cover with aluminum foil, and bake 20 to 30 minutes until pears are tender. Do not allow liquid to evaporate while pears bake. Add more liquid during baking, if necessary. Serve cold, sprinkled with chopped nuts.
