2 c. pkg. pound cake mix 1 egg 1/2 c. water 1/3 c. flour 1/3 c. chopped nuts (optional) Add egg and water to cake mix, beat until smooth. Stir in flour and nuts. Preheat griddle. Drop by teaspoon onto lightly greased surface. Cook about 5 minutes or as for any hot cake. Serve hot with sweetened strawberries, spooned over cakes shortcake style, top with whipped cream. Makes 6-8 servings. |
