1/2 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda 1 c. buttermilk 1/2 tsp. banana flavoring 2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. nuts (optional) 3 mashed bananas Cream together butter, sugar, and eggs. Sift together flour, salt, and soda. Add buttermilk. Then add bananas, flavoring, and nuts. Bake for 25 min at 375 degrees in a 15x10 inch pan until lightly brown. FROSTING: 1/4 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar 1/4 milk Melt butter. Add sugar and boil 2 minutes at slow boil. Add milk and stir just until it comes to a boil.
