BROWNIES & FROSTING
 

BROWNIES:

3 squares unsweetened chocolate
1 c. shortening
4 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar

Grease and flour 11"x17" cookie sheet. Melt chocolate and shortening, cool slightly. Blend in eggs and sugar. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Add vanilla. Blend in chocolate mixture; add nuts. Bake at 350 degrees NOT OVER 30 MINUTES. When cool, mix frosting ingredients and spread over brownies.
