1/4 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. cream 1 egg 1/2 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 2 c. flour 1 c. pared, chopped apples, chop small (use generous cup) 1/4 c. butterscotch chips 1/2 c. chopped walnuts Cream butter, and sugar, beat in cream, egg, soda, salt, nutmeg and flour. Add apples, chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Do not overbake. GLAZE FOR APPLE CHIP COOKIES: 3 tbsp. melted butter 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. cream 2 c. powdered sugar Combine and spread over cooled cookies. |
