BROWN SUGAR COOKIES
 

1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans (chopped)
all purpose flour

Cream together all the ingredients until fluffy, adding flour and nuts last.

Stir in all purpose flour in a sufficient quantity to make a soft, sticky dough that can be dropped from a spoon, but is not liquid. (Spoon should be able to stand up in dough when inserted in center).

Do not add too much flour and do not overmix or you will produce tough cookies.

Mix well. Drop on buttered cookie sheet.

Bake at 350-375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Doubling this recipe makes a nice batch of cookies.
