COCOA BARS AND COCOA FROSTING
 

COCOA BAR:

1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
1 c. flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

FROSTING:

1 1/2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tbsp. milk
3/4 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. soft butter
2/3 c. sifted confectioners' sugar

Cream butter to soften. Gradually add sugar and vanilla. Stir in milk. Sift together dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture. Add nuts. Spread into a greased 9x9x2 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until done. At once, frost with icing.

FROSTING: With spoon, blend 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa, 1 tablespoon milk, 3/4 teaspoon vanilla, 1 1/2 teaspoon soft butter and 2/3 cup sifted confectioners' sugar. Cool cake, cut into bars. Makes 2 dozen.
