4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 lb. softened butter
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk

Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add butter, eggs, vanilla and milk, mix well. Turn on to floured board or pastry sheet. Roll out with rolling pin and cut with your favorite shape cookie cutter. You will need to flour board occasionally. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees until lightly browned.
