2 oz. bitter chocolate
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1 oz. bitter chocolate
1 tbsp. butter, melted
1 c. unsifted powdered sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. water
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9" square pan.
Melt chocolate and butter. Beat eggs and sugar (hardly at all to get fudgy brownies) with a whisk. Stir in chocolate mixture. Add flour, vanilla and salt. Mix just until blended. Add nuts. Bake 20 minutes. Frost while warm.
FROSTING: Melt chocolate and butter. Blend in powdered sugar and water. Spread over brownies.
