3/4 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Mix butter and sugar together with a fork. Add eggs and vanilla. Blend with fork. Add flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix everything together with fork or with your hands. Put dough in refrigerator to chill (at least 1 hour). Roll out dough and use cookie cutters of your choice. Bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Use icing of your choice.
