14 oz. bag caramels
1/3 c. milk
2 c. Bisquick
2 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts
Melt caramels and milk in microwave, stirring after every minute until smooth. Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Pat 1/2 of oatmeal mixture into 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
Put chips and nuts over top. Drizzle caramel over that. Top with remaining oatmeal mixture. Pat down. Bake again for 15 minutes. Cut into squares while warm.
