1/2 c. cornmeal 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. sugar 1 egg 1 c. milk Mix all ingredients together in a deep bowl. Place sticks in wieners; leave a stem to hold. Dip wiener in cornmeal mixture and fry in hot shortening for 3-5 minutes; turn with tongs. Drain and blot on paper toweling. Serve immediately. |
