CHEESE FONDUE
 

1/2 lb. grated Swiss cheese (2 c.)
1/2 lg. grated Cheddar cheese (2 c.)
3 tbsp. flour
2 c. water
1 clove garlic, cut in half

Toss cheese with flour in a large bowl. Rub garlic halves around the sides and bottom of fondue pot. Pour in water. When water is hot, stir in cheese in small amounts with a wooden spoon. (Wait to add more cheese until all has melted). DO NOT let mixture boil.

Items good dipped in fondue: Air-dried bread cubes; fresh broccoli, cauliflower, etc.; fried mushrooms.
