1 lb. dates 1 lb. bacon 4 oz. whole blanched almonds Cut bacon into halves or thirds. Stuff almonds into the end of the dates. Wrap a piece of bacon around the date and secure with toothpick. Arrange in shallow baking pan and bake at 425 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, or until bacon is cooked. Turning after 10 minutes to brown evenly. Serve hot. |
