FUDGE
 

3 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate
1 (7 oz.) jar Kraft marshmallow creme
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Combine sugar, butter and milk in a 2 1/2 quart saucepan and bring to a full roaring boil, stirring constantly. Continue cooking for 5 minutes over a medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate bits until melted. Add marshmallow creme, nuts and vanilla. Beat well until blended. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan. Cool at room temperature and cut into squares. Makes 3 pounds.
