Combine in saucepan: 1 2/3 c. sugar
Heat to boiling. Cook 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add: 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans 1 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 tsp. vanilla
Stir until marshmallows are melted. Pour into buttered 8 x 9 inch square pan. Garnish with walnut or pecan halves on each square. Cool and cut.
