LIGHT OPERA FUDGE
 

2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. heavy cream
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, salt, cream, milk and syrup in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil over low heat until boils. Cook to soft ball stage. Add vanilla. Cool to 110 degrees then beat. Add nuts if desired. Pour into buttered dish.
