1 pkg. white cake mix
1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. multi perils
1 c. softened butter
4 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. red food coloring (icing)
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 2 (9") round cake pans; line bottom with wax paper; grease paper. Coat paper and sides of pan lightly with flour. Prepare cake mix according to package, beating in 1/4 cups flour and 1 tablespoon lemon peel. Stir in 1/4 cup non-perils. Pour into cake pans. Bake as directed on package. Cool.
FROSTING: Beat butter, 2 cups powdered sugar, lemon juice and grated lemon peel 3 to 4 minutes, until light and fluffy. Frost cake.
ICING: Stir food coloring and 2 tablespoons water into remaining 2 cups powdered sugar until well blended. Icing will be stiff. Stir in additional water until drizzle consistency. Drizzle over frosting.
