2 sticks butter 1/2 c. Crisco 3 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. cocoa 5 eggs 3 c. sifted flour 1 c. sweet milk 1 tsp. vanilla Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and cocoa. Then add flour, baking powder and salt sifted together, alternately with milk and vanilla. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or more, depending on oven. Leave out chocolate for Regular Pound Cake. |
