ANGEL CREAM CAKE
 

1/2 pt. heavy cream
3/4 c. orange/lemon flavored drink concentrate
8" angel food cake (sliced into 3 vertical layers)
Fresh fruit
Finely chopped walnuts or pecans

Bananas (sliced horizontally), peaches (peeled and sliced), strawberries (halved, save a few whole for garnish).

Combine 1/2 cup drink concentrate with 1 cup heavy cream. Whip until mounds form; chill until used, DO NOT OVER BEAT. Prepare fresh fruit, if bananas and peaches are used marinate them in 1/4 cup drink concentrate to prevent darkening of fruit. Frost first layer of cake lightly with a portion of the whipped cream mixture; arrange pieces of fruit evenly on top of cream. Place second cake layer on top of fruit; repeat frosting and fruit procedure. Add top layer, frost entire cake with remaining cream mixture, arrange pieces of fruit or whole strawberries on top; sprinkle chopped nuts on top of cake and press them lightly onto the sides. Chill until serving time.
