1 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. soda
Combine flour, sugar, soda, salt, set aside. In bowl, mix eggs, vanilla, oil and 1/2 cup nuts, mix well. Add dry ingredients, then fold in pie mix. Smooth batter evenly in 9x13 inch pan and bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees until cake springs back. Cool on rack about 20 minutes, then prick with fork.
TOPPING: Combine sugar, sour cream and soda in saucepan over medium heat until boiling. Pour over cake and sprinkle with remaining nuts. Serves 12-15.
