2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. shortening
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening. Add water to make a stiff dough. Knead dough until smooth. Roll out dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut in rounds. Prick rounds with a fork and fry in deep hot fat. Serve hot
