LEMON CAKE & FROSTING
 

1 pkg. lemon cake mix
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
4 eggs
3/4 c. water
3/4 c. salad oil

In mixer bowl, add cake mix, gelatin, eggs and liquids. Blend well. Pour batter into greased oblong pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. While cake is still warm, prick top with fork and pour the following frosting over cake. When cold, serve with whipped cream if desired.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. lemon juice
2 c. confectioners' sugar

Stir lemon juice into confectioners' sugar. Mix until smooth.
