CANNED GREEN BEANS
 

2 cans green beans
3 tbsp. onion powder
2 1/2 inch salt pork
1 tsp. salt

Use large (3 quart) saucepan with lid. Fill with one half water and heat to boiling. Cut salt pork in small pieces (approximately 1/4 inch pieces). Drain beans into a strainer and rinse with cold water.

Fry salt pork, put into large saucepan with hot water and onion powder. Put lid on and cook on medium until tender. Season to taste with salt. Makes 4-5 servings.
