POTATOES `N GRAVY
 

2 1/2-3 lb. sm. potatoes
1/2 lb. sliced bacon
Snipped fresh dill as chives

BUTTER GRAVY:

1 c. butter
6 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
4 c. water

Cook potatoes with skin on in boiling salted water until tender. Peel.

Meanwhile make butter gravy. Cover potatoes with gravy, sprinkle with chives to marinate flavors. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350 degrees. Before baking sprinkle fried bits of bacon over top. May also add some instant onion to it and use parsley, not chives or dill. May be made a day ahead and refrigerated overnight.
