1 lb. young fresh green beans (French cut) 2 tbsp. butter 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tbsp. thyme 2 tbsp. dry white wine 2 tbsp. fine dry bread crumbs In saucepan, cook about 2 minutes. Drain, plunge into bowl of ice water; drain thoroughly. In 12-inch skillet, melt butter, add garlic, beans and wine. Stir fry beans over high heat until crisp tender, 3 to 5 minutes. Toss with bread crumbs. Season with salt and pepper. |
