CANDIED CARROTS
 

1 dozen med. carrots
Boiling salted water
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp. allspice

Scrape carrots and cut into julienne strips. Cook in boiling salted water for 10 minutes, or until tender. Drain well. Melt butter, add sugar and allspice. Stir until well blended. Place carrots in oven proof dish. Pour butter sauce over carrots and bake in 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Serves 8.
