FRIED RICE CAKES
 

1 lg. egg
2 c. cold cooked white rice
6 green onions, cut into thin rings
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. each dark sesame oil
Salt
Vegetable oil for cooking

1. Whisk egg in a medium bowl. Add rice, green onions, flour, sesame oil and salt and mix well.

2. Heat a large griddle or skillet over medium high heat. Add a thin layer of vegetable oil and heat until it is hot, but not smoking. Spoon rice mixture into neat rounds, about 3" diameter. Cook, turning once, until lightly browned on both sides, about 3 minutes. Serve hot with soy sauce.
