CORN FRITTERS
 

1/2 c. flour
2 level tsp. baking powder
1/2 level tsp. salt
Pinch pepper
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. milk
2 c. corn (best-cut off cob; good-frozen corn; fair-vacuum pack-poor-leftover corn)

Sift dry ingredients thoroughly. Rub in butter and add liquors, beat well and fry like other fritters in a deep kettle of hot fat.
