ASPARAGUS CREAM SAUCE CASSEROLE
 

1 (No. 2) can (8.5 oz.) asparagus, drained
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/4 c. grated cheddar cheese
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 tsp. onion juice
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
3 hard boiled eggs, chopped
1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
1/4 c. chopped onions

Make white sauce by melting butter, adding flour, slowly adding milk and stirring constantly. Cook and stir slowly until sauce thickens. Add cheese, celery, onion juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, eggs, onion (chopped) to sauce. Drain asparagus and add to casserole dish. Pour mixture over asparagus, top with bread crumbs. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes until hot and bread crumbs are brown. Serves 6.
