To bake acorn, butternut, or spaghetti sauce in the microwave, cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds, and place cut side down on a Pyrex dish. Cover with waxed paper and cook at 100% until the squash tests tender when pierced with a toothpick or a cake tester. When cool enough to handle, scoop out the cooked squash, add seasonings as wished, and stir until smooth. This can be prepared in advance and reheated when wanted. |
