BRUNCH DO AHEAD
 

16 slices white bread, crust removed
Canadian bacon or ham, sliced thin
Sharp Cheddar cheese, sliced thin
6 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2-1 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 c. onion, minced
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped fine
1-2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 c. whole milk
Dash Tabasco sauce
1/4 lb. butter
Cornflakes, crushed

In a 9 x 13 inch buttered glass baking dish, put 8 pieces of bread. Layer as follows: bacon or ham, cheese, remaining bread. In a bowl beat eggs, salt and pepper.

To egg mixture add dry mustard, onion, green onions, Worcestershire sauce, milk and Tabasco. Pour over the sandwiches. Cover and let stand in refrigerator overnight.

In the morning melt butter, pour over top and cover with crushed cornflakes. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Let sit 10 minutes before serving. Serve with fresh fruit and cinnamon rolls.
