CORN FLAKE WAFFLES WITH HONEY-BUTTER
SAUCE
 

1 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. crushed corn flakes
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 slightly beaten egg yolks
1 3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. oil
2 egg whites
Sliced strawberries and bananas (optional)

HONEY-BUTTER SAUCE:

1 c. honey
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Dash nutmeg

In large bowl combine flour, corn flakes, baking powder and salt; sift.

In small bowl combine egg yolks, milk and oil; stir into flour mixture.

In separate bowl beat egg whites until peaks. Fold into flour mix (Do not over mix).

Pour into preheated lightly greased waffle iron. Close lid quickly; do not open during baking (about 5 minutes - medium heat). Serve with strawberries, bananas and Honey Butter Sauce. (In heavy saucepan warm honey over low. Stir in butter, cinnamon and nutmeg.)
