OVERNIGHT BELGIAN WAFFLES
 

2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. melted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar
3 c. flour
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Scald milk; cool to lukewarm (or reconstitute powdered milk in lukewarm water). Put water in large bowl; sprinkle in yeast and stir until dissolved. Add milk, butter, salt, sugar and flour; mix until smooth. Cover and let stand at room temperature overnight. Just before cooking, mix in eggs and baking soda. Cook on medium hot waffle iron. Makes 6 to 8 waffles.
