1 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped 1 med. green pepper, chopped 15 oz. can tomato sauce 6 oz. can tomato paste 16 oz. can kidney beans, undrained 8 oz. can whole kernel corn, undrained 1 c. water (opt.) 1 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. salt Dash cayenne pepper Brown ground beef in 2/3 tablespoon oil or butter. Add onion and green pepper and saute lightly. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, kidney beans, corn, water, chili powder and salt. Cover and simmer gently about 30 minutes. Serve in warm bowls or heavy crocks. |
