1/2 c. flour 1/2 c. butter 1 lg. onion, minced 3 c. chicken broth 3 c. milk 2 tsp. sage 2 c. grated sharp cheddar cheese
Saute butter and onion. Add flour. Add the broth and milk; cook until thickened. Add sage, then cheese. Parboil small pieces of broccoli and add to soup after it is cooked.
