16 oz. Orzo (found with pastas) 2 pkgs. onion soup mix 6 oz. slivered almonds 2 tbsp. oil 1 sm. can waterchestnuts (drained & sliced) 1 lg. can mushrooms (drained & sliced) can use fresh ones, sliced Cook orzo according to package. Drain. Combine all ingredients and put into deep casserole dish. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Can be mixed together early in day and baked when needed. Can be frozen. Excellent substitute for rice or potato. |
