LIME JELLO PEAR SALAD
 

1 can (16 oz. or 10 oz.) can pears
1 pkg. (3 oz.) lime Jello
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese (leave out to soften)
2 env. 2 oz. whipped topping mix
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Thoroughly drain pears and dice. Pear juice plus cold water for 1 1/3 cups. Bring juice to boil and pour over Jello, stir until dissolved. Slowly add to cream cheese and beat at low speed until thoroughly blended. Blend in the pears and let cool, not enough to set. Whip topping mix according to instructions. Fold topping mix and walnuts into Jello. Pour mold and let set for several hours. Lemon or orange Jello may be substituted.
