1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 stick butter
1 c. uncooked long grain rice
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
2 1/2 c. water
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Wash chicken, drain and pat dry. Mix together flour, salt, garlic salt, paprika and pepper. Melt 1 stick butter in baking dish. Roll chicken pieces in the dry mixture and place with skin down the melted butter.
In a casserole bowl, add rice, 1 stick butter, onion soup, water and mushrooms (optional). (Cook with lid on dish.) Place both chicken and rice in oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Easy and delicious.
