2 c. lukewarm water 2 pkgs. dry yeast 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. shortening, melted 1 tsp. salt 2 eggs About 6 c. flour Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt and 2 cups flour then cooled shortening and beat 1 minute more. Add rest of flour and knead. Let rise until double in bulk. Put on cookie sheets or in 2 bread pans and let rise and bake 375 degrees. Makes 2 bread pans or about 36 buns. |
