WOODFORD PUDDING WITH BUTTERSCOTCH
SAUCE

1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. sour milk
1 c. sugar
1 c. blackberry jam
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs, slightly beaten

Cream the butter and sugar. Add the beaten eggs and mix well. Dissolve the soda in the sour milk. Add the flour and cinnamon with the sour milk mixture. Blend the jam. Bake in a greased shallow baking dish, 9"x13", for 40 minutes in a 325 degree oven. Cut in squares and serve with butterscotch sauce.

SAUCE: Mix 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar with 2 tablespoons of the flour. When these are well blended, add 1 cup boiling water and a dash of salt. Stir and cook for about 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from heat and add 4 tablespoons butter and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Blend well. Serve warm.
