INDIAN FRY BREAD
 

2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. baking powder
Vegetable oil for deep frying

Stir or sift dry ingredients in mixing bowl to blend thoroughly. Slowly add sufficient water to form a stiff dough. Cover bowl with towel; let stand 30 minutes. Pinch off balls of dough with floured hands and work out into 5 inch circles. Drop into oil heated to 350 degrees and fry until golden brown. Yields 7 or 8 fry breads.
