STIR-FRIED BEEF OR CHICKEN & BROCCOLI
 

1 lb. round steak or boneless chicken, thinly sliced

Marinate with the following: 1/3 c. soy sauce 2 tbsp. brown sugar 3 tbsp. sherry or wine 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. cornstarch

Marinate meat all day or overnight for beef and at least 2 to 4 hours for chicken. 4 c. fresh broccoli, cut in med. stalks Snow pea pods (opt.) Fresh sliced mushrooms (opt.) 1 lg. onion, cut in wedges

Heat oil in skillet or wok and stir fry meat until browned. Remove meat. Stir-fry broccoli and onion 1 minute. Add 1/4 cup water, cover and steam until broccoli is crisp tender, about 3 minutes. Add meat and heat through. Serve immediately. Very good over rice.
