HONEY WINGS
 

2 dozen chicken wings
8 c. Crisco for frying

Sauce:

1 1/4 c. ketchup
1/3 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. molasses
1/4 c. honey or duck sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. liquid smoke
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. tabasco
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper

Batter:

1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. soy sauce
1/2 tsp. chicken bouillon powder
1 c. milk

Breading:

2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. paprika
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

In a saucepan, stir together all ingredients for sauce. Simmer gently 10 minutes. In a deep fryer or large heavy bottom pan, heat Crisco to 350 degrees.

Prepare batter by beating together milk, egg, soy sauce, and chicken bouillon. In separate bowl, combine seasonings and flour well.

Dip wings one at a time into seasoned flour, then into liquid mixture, then again into flour.

Fry in hot oil 10-12 min. Dip in sauce and serve with sauce dish in center of chicken wings arranged in a circle on a decorative platter.
