3 c. chicken broth or 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can chicken broth + 1 can water 2 c. chopped or shredded cabbage 3 med. potatoes, diced 2 or 3 slices bacon 1 c. chopped onion 3 tbsp. flour 3 c. milk 2 tsp. prepared mustard 3/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Salt & pepper Put broth in saucepan, add cabbage and potatoes. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Brown diced bacon in skillet. Add onions and cook until tender. Stir in flour, cook 2 or 3 minutes. Add milk and cook until thick. Add to vegetable mixture. Add mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Let simmer until flavors blend. |
