6 med. boiled potatoes 6 slices fried bacon Peel and slice potatoes into bowl. Cook 3/4 cup onions (chopped) in 1/3 cup bacon fat until yellow. Mix in 2 tablespoons flour, 1-2 tablespoon(s) sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1/2 teaspoon celery seed, and dash of pepper. Stir in gradually 3/4 cup water and 1/4 cup vinegar. Cook, stirring until mixture boils. Boil one minute. Pour over potatoes. Add bacon, crumbled. Cover and let stand until ready to serve. |
