1 unbaked deep dish pie shell 4-6 lg. tart apples 1/3 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. salt CRUMB TOPPING: 1/2 c. sugar 3/4 c. flour 1/3 c. butter Pare apples, sliced into pie shell. Mix next 4 ingredients, sprinkle over apples. Make crumb topping by mixing together sugar and flour, then cutting in butter. Press over top of apples. Place on metal cookie sheet. |
