1 box Crispix 2 sticks butter 2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. light Karo syrup Pinch cream of tartar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 pkg. peanuts (opt.) Mix butter, syrup and cream of tartar together. Bring to a boil. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add the soda. Stir in well. Pour over the Crispix and peanuts until well covered. Bake on cookie sheets at 200 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 to 20 minutes. Cool. Keep in Tupperware to keep it crisp. |
