Drain dill slices on paper towels to get excess moisture off. Dip in batter: 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 c. milk 2 tbsp. salad oil
Mix just until dry ingredients are well moistened. Coat pickle slices with batter. Fry in hot (375 degrees) until just golden. Drain on paper towels.

This didn't make much sence to me and when I mixed all of it together I did a test run. Putting the batter on the pickles leaves a thick layer around them. What I did was put the pickles in a egg and then diped them into the dry ingredients and put them into a frying pan that has hot oil in it and it is great!
